About the role

The Financial Analyst is responsible for understanding the financial side of new and developing businesses. You will build models, test assumptions, analyse costs and pricing, and help determine whether a business can become financially sustainable.

What you'll do

  • Build financial models for new and existing ventures
  • Develop revenue, cost and profitability projections
  • Analyse unit economics
  • Support pricing decisions
  • Prepare cash flow and break-even analyses
  • Assess capital requirements
  • Conduct financial sensitivity and scenario analysis
  • Support venture valuation
  • Prepare financial sections of business cases and investment materials
  • Monitor financial assumptions as ventures develop
  • Work with the Business Analyst, Product and Business Development teams
  • Support financial planning and analysis across assigned businesses

What we're looking for

  • A degree or equivalent training in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience is an advantage
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Good understanding of financial statements and business economics
  • Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to build and interpret financial models
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly
  • Commercial curiosity and interest in how businesses make money
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
