About Leoel Holdings

Leoel Holdings is an African venture studio and holdings company dedicated to building, operating, and scaling businesses that solve everyday challenges across the continent.

We exist at the intersection of innovation and disciplined business building. Through a structured process of research, design, validation, and growth, we identify real market opportunities and transform them into sustainable, high-impact companies — then steward them through a centralized holdings structure that provides governance, strategic direction, and operational support.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst at Leoel Holdings, you will be an integral part of the Venture Studio team responsible for identifying, evaluating, and helping develop new business opportunities across Africa.

You will provide the research, analysis, and strategic insights that guide the creation of new ventures and support the growth of existing ones. You will work closely with the Founder and CEO and the R&D team to ensure every business is built on a deep understanding of customer needs, market realities, and commercial viability.

Key responsibilities

  • Opportunity Identification

Monitor markets, industries, consumer trends, and emerging developments to identify unmet needs, underserved segments, and potential opportunities across Africa.

  • Market Research & Intelligence

Research industries, competitors, customers, regulations, and market dynamics to provide actionable insights for strategic decisions.

  • Venture Evaluation

Assess the viability of opportunities by analyzing market demand, competition, revenue potential, operational requirements, and scalability.

  • Business Model Development

Support the design of business models, revenue models, pricing, customer acquisition approaches, and go-to-market plans for new ventures.

  • Validation & Testing

Design and support validation activities — customer interviews, surveys, pilots, prototype testing, and market experiments — to determine whether concepts should proceed to launch.

  • Strategic Reporting

Prepare opportunity assessments, market reports, feasibility studies, and business cases that inform investment and venture decisions.

  • Performance Analysis

Track the performance of pilots, new ventures, and existing businesses to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.

  • Knowledge Development

Build and maintain a repository of market intelligence, competitive analysis, and venture development knowledge.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with Business Development, Marketing & Strategy, Operations, and subsidiary leadership to translate insights into action and opportunities into businesses.

What Success Looks Like

Success means consistently helping Leoel identify promising opportunities, reduce risk through evidence-based decisions, validate concepts before significant investment, and contribute to sustainable ventures that address real needs in African markets.

This role is ideal for someone naturally curious, highly analytical, commercially aware, and excited by innovation and the challenge of building companies from the ground up.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation

Competitive salaries and performance-based rewards designed to attract and retain high-performing professionals.

  • Career Growth & Development

Structured progression pathways, direct mentorship from senior leadership, and access to the Leoel Leadership Academy — our in-house programs building business, leadership, management, and entrepreneurial capability — with opportunities to advance into senior roles across the Group.

  • Equity & Ownership

Eligible employees may participate in stock option, equity participation, or venture ownership programs, aligning individual success with the long-term growth of the businesses they help build.

  • Exposure to Venture Creation

Work across multiple industries and business models, gaining hands-on experience identifying opportunities, validating concepts, launching ventures, and scaling businesses, alongside direct exposure to strategic decision-making and corporate governance.

  • Innovative & Entrepreneurial Environment

A culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and problem-solving, where employees are entrusted with real ownership and encouraged to contribute ideas, challenge assumptions, and shape the organization.

  • Flexible, Outcome-Focused Work

A work philosophy that values outcomes over attendance, with a hybrid framework and Deep Work Policy that give you flexibility to maximize productivity.

  • Purpose-Driven Work

Every venture we build is designed to solve real problems and create meaningful impact — businesses that improve lives, create jobs, and strengthen communities.

  • People-Centered Culture

Businesses are built by people. We are committed to an environment where individuals are respected, supported, challenged, and equipped to grow professionally and personally.
